The Staff Development Centre of the Vavuniya Campus organized the Workshop on “Telephone Etiquette” for the Clerical Staff and Office Assistants (Permanent & Temporary). It took place on 22nd May 2019 from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. The venue was Balakrishnan Block (BH4 Hall), Faculty of Business Studies, Vavuniya Campus of the University of Jaffna, Pambaimadu, Vavuniya.

Dr. G. Jeyaseelan, Head of the Department of English Language Teaching, served as the resource person. He discussed the effective official telephone communication system. The topics were how to make a call, receive a call, answer and transfer a call, listen effectively, and avoid communication problems. Participants also had the opportunity to show their talents individually and in groups at this workshop.
