The Staff Development Centre of the University of Vavuniya organized the Workshop on “Navigating Research Metrics: Maximizing Impact with Indicators and Journal Selection Techniques”. It took place on 21st February 2024 from 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm. The venue was the Smart Lecture Hall, Faculty of Applied Science, University of Vavuniya. The workshop was for permanent Academic Staff and Executive Staff.
Dr. T. Pratheepan, Acting Librarian of Uva Wellassa University, served as the resource person. Participants learned about tools for measuring the scientific impact of research. They also gained tips for identifying predatory publishers, journals and conferences.
