The university has issued these COVID-19 instructions for all staff members and students during the pandemic. The COVID-19 instructions protect everyone on campus. Please follow them at all times. Visit our university health center page for more support, and check the latest Ministry of Health guidelines for updates.

- Disinfect your hands with sanitizer, or wash them with soap and water, when you enter the university.
- Wear a face mask indoors and outdoors on campus.

COVID-19 Instructions for Patients with Fever
These COVID-19 instructions apply to everyone who visits the health center with a fever:
- The health center will perform a RAT on every patient with a fever.
- The health center will notify the VC, AR/SW, sub wardens, MOH/V and the area PHI of all RAT positive cases.
- The university will isolate RAT positive patients in its isolation unit until further arrangements are made.
- The sub warden in charge of the isolation center will coordinate with the health authorities (PHI) or parents. They will send the patient to a treatment center or home by ambulance or private vehicle.
- Students who test RAT positive but are clinically well can stay in the isolation center to sit their examinations. The Vice Chancellor must approve this.
COVID-19 Instructions for First Line Contacts
The COVID-19 instructions require first line contacts to quarantine for 7 days, following the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. They can stay at the university quarantine center only to sit exams, with the approval of the Vice Chancellor. They can also go home by private transport.
The university will keep a vehicle (trishaw) available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It will transport sick patients, positive patients and first line contacts. For urgent help, contact the health center.
Who Is a First Line Contact?
Our COVID-19 instructions define a first line contact as a person with any of these exposures:
- Face to face contact with a probable or positive case within 1 meter for at least 15 minutes.
- Direct physical contact with a probable or confirmed positive case.
