A meeting was held on 30th March 2026 at the Eye Clinic,Teaching Hospital, Jaffna, to present the initial version of the Low Vision Software developed by Mr. T. Vaitheeswaran, a Computer Science graduate of the University of Vavuniya.
The meeting was attended by the ophthalmologist of the Eye Clinic, Dr. Malaravan, and Dr. Nagulan. During the session, the software’s features, functionality, and overall performance were demonstrated and discussed.
The participants reviewed the current version of the software and provided constructive feedback. They offered several recommendations to improve its accessibility, usability, and functionality to better address the needs of individuals with low vision. Their suggestions will be incorporated into the subsequent development phase to enhance the software’s effectiveness and suitability for use in clinical settings.
