The Staff Development Centre of the University of Vavuniya organized a workshop on “Occupational Health & Safety”. The session took place on 18th October 2023, from 01.00 pm to 04.00 pm. It was held at the SH4 Hall (Soosairatinam Block) in the Faculty of Business Studies.
The workshop targeted academic and administrative staff members. A total of 24 participants attended the session.
Mr. Rohan Vipula served as the resource person. He is a coach and trainer for fire safety, health, safety, and environmental systems, as well as a Lead Auditor for ISO 45001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
During the session, participants raised various questions regarding chemical and fire safety issues they had experienced. They also gained a deeper understanding of hazardous materials and the SHE Management System.
