Harmony Fest 2026 was a vibrant cultural event organized by the Leo Club of University of Vavuniya in collaboration with the Harmony Centre, held on 22nd April 2026 at the SH4 Hall, University of Vavuniya. The program aimed to promote unity, diversity, and cultural understanding among students by bringing together individuals from different backgrounds in a spirit of togetherness.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including the Chief Guest, Balanshanker Balasivanujan, District Vice President, Leo District 306 D12, and Special Guests Dr. S. Shanmugathasan, Librarian, University of Vavuniya and G. Naveendrakumar Director, Harmony Centre. Their presence added significance to the occasion and reinforced the importance of leadership, collaboration, and unity. The program commenced at 1:00 pm with guest arrival and registration, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the oil lamp and the national anthem.
The welcome address highlighted the purpose of the event and emphasized harmony and inclusivity. The festival featured diverse cultural performances, including a welcome dance by the Hindu Society, musical and dance items by students of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, and performances by the Christian Society, showcasing the rich cultural diversity within the university. A key highlight was the certificate distribution for E-Poster competition winners, recognizing creativity and active participation.
The launch of Secret of Harmonia 2026 marked an important milestone in the event. The Chief Guest also addressed the gathering, emphasizing leadership and service. Overall, the event successfully promoted unity, strengthened relationships, and fostered harmony within the university community.
