The University of Vavuniya Internal Vacancies notice invites applications for six posts. The Establishments Branch issued it on 12 November 2021. The University of Vavuniya Internal Vacancies cover these six posts:
- Technical Officer (ICT) Grade III
- Security Inspector Grade II
- Caretaker cum Cook Grade III
- Laboratory Attendant Grade III
- Library Attendant Grade II
- Vehicle Cleaner Grade III
Who Can Apply
Applications are open to employees of the UGC and higher educational institutions. In addition, applicants must hold a permanent and confirmed post. Employees on permanent cadre posts cannot apply for another permanent post during their probationary period.
How to Apply
First, complete the specimen forms attached to the notice. Next, send the application through the Secretary of the UGC, or the Registrar of your institution, or the Rector of your campus, or the Director of your institute. Then, send it under registered cover to the Deputy Registrar, Establishments Branch, University of Vavuniya, Park Road, Vavuniya.
The office must receive the application on or before 10 December 2021. Applicants must also enclose certified copies of the relevant documents. The university will reject late applications and those with missing information.
Salary Scales and Selection
Each post has its own salary scale and selection method:
- Technical Officer (ICT) Grade III: Rs. 31,625 – 7×300; 10×355 – 37,275 per month. Selection is by a written or practical test and an interview.
- Security Inspector Grade II: Rs. 30,725 – 17×300 – 35,825 per month. Selection is by interview.
- Caretaker cum Cook Grade III: Rs. 28,025 – 16×270 – 32,345 per month. Selection is by a test or an interview.
- Laboratory Attendant Grade III: Rs. 28,025 – 16×270 – 32,345 per month. Selection is by an aptitude test and an interview.
- Library Attendant Grade II: Rs. 27,025 – 15×250 – 30,775 per month. Selection is by an aptitude test and an interview.
- Vehicle Cleaner Grade III: Rs. 27,025 – 15×250 – 30,775 per month. Selection is by an aptitude test and an interview.
Basic Qualifications
Each post has its own qualifications. For example, the Technical Officer post needs three passes at the G.C.E. (A/L) examination and an NVQ Level 5 certificate in ICT or a related field. The Vehicle Cleaner post needs a pass in the 7th standard. Therefore, please read the full qualifications in the notice before you apply.
