The University Road Race Event 2022 was organized by the Physical Education Unit of the University of Vavuniya to celebrate the first anniversary of the university on 27th August 2022. The road race started from the University of Vavuniya Park premises and concluded at the Pampaimadu premises of the university. This memorable sporting event promoted health, fitness, teamwork, and student engagement among the university community.
The University Road Race Event attracted the participation of students, academic staff, and non-academic staff members. The event was conducted successfully under the guidance of the Physical Education Unit and highlighted the university’s commitment to extracurricular activities and sports development.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Vavuniya, Dr. T. Mangaleswaran, participated as the Chief Guest of the University Road Race Event 2022.
