The University of Vavuniya congratulates Mr. Krishna Prasanth on his achievement with Green Asian Voice Vavuniya. He studies at Level 3 in the Faculty of Technological Studies.
Mr. Krishna Prasanth earned selection as the first volunteer for a youth leadership project. The project operates under the theme “Youth-run Organization on Leadership Development.” Furthermore, the Green Asian Voice Council in New Delhi, India organised this initiative in association with AIESEC Sri Lanka.
He served as a Front-end Developer and Environmental Volunteer for three months. As a result, he gained valuable experiences throughout the project. Additionally, he earned an internship opportunity through this achievement.
Green Asian Voice Council is an international non-profit organisation. Its goal is to create a clean and healthy green environment. Therefore, it promotes measures to reduce carbon emissions and fight air pollution.
The council works to replace diesel and petrol vehicles with electric vehicles. Moreover, it promotes solar thermal power plants over coal-firing plants. It also introduces new machinery to replace burning of agricultural waste.
Green Asian Voice invites volunteers from 120 countries to join the Green Revolution Movement. The council plans to support the University of Vavuniya in establishing a Green Asian Voice Vavuniya chapter. This will create new environmental leadership opportunities for students.
