The University of Vavuniya launched the Vavuniya Journal of Science on 2nd November 2022. The launch took place at the Silver Jubilee celebration of the Faculty of Applied Science. This marked the release of Volume 01, Issue 01.
The Vice Chancellor received the first copy of the journal. The Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science also received a copy. Additionally, the Deans of the Faculty of Business Studies and Faculty of Technological Studies received copies. The Registrar and Acting Librarian also joined the ceremony.
This publication promotes research in science and technology. It provides a platform for academics, researchers, and students to publish their work. Furthermore, it strengthens the research culture at the University of Vavuniya.
