The annual road race organized by the Physical Education Unit of the University of Vavuniya was held on 27th August 2022 to celebrate the institution’s first anniversary. The program successfully brought together students, academic staff, and sports enthusiasts to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy competition.
The University Road Race Event started from the University of Vavuniya Park Road premises and concluded at the Pampaimadu premises of the university. The race created an energetic and exciting atmosphere among participants and spectators while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork within the university community.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Vavuniya, Dr. T. Mangaleswaran, participated as the Chief Guest of the University Road Race Event 2022.

Importance of the Road Race Event
