PROCUREMENT NOTICE
PROCUREMENTS OF DESKTOP COMPUTER AND OTHER ITEMS – UV/F/NCB/02/2026
The Vice Chancellor, University of Vavuniya, on behalf of the Department Procurement Committee, invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Procurement of Desktop Computer and other items to the University of Vavuniya, as described below.
Bidding Procedure
The University will conduct bidding through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedure. Additionally, bidders should have at least five years’ experience in the relevant field in Sri Lanka.
Bidding Documents
Interested bidders may purchase a complete set of bidding documents in English. These documents are available for download from 02.04.2026 to 27.04.2026 at the University website www.vau.ac.lk. A non-refundable fee of Rs.3,500.00 applies, payable to the University Collection Account.

In order to get the payment portal, please scan the QR code provided. Alternatively, visit: University website www.vau.ac.lk / Payments / External Students/User / External Payments / Non-refundable Tender Fee. Bidders must attach the payment successful report with the original bidding documents.
Submitting Bids
Bidders must deliver bids in original with duplicate, addressed to the Chairman, Department Procurement Committee, University of Vavuniya, Mannar Road, Pambaimadu, on or before 2.00 pm on 28.04.2026. Please indicate “Procurements of Desktop Computer and other items – UV/F/NCB/02/2026” on the left-hand corner of the envelope.
Bid Security
All bids must include a Bid Security addressed to the Vice Chancellor, University of Vavuniya, Mannar Road, Pambaimadu Vavuniya. A licensed commercial bank registered with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka must issue this security. Furthermore, the Bid Security shall remain valid for a minimum of 119 days (up to 24.08.2026) from the date of the bid opening, as specified in the following table.

Pre-Bid Meeting
The University will hold a Pre-Bid meeting on 07.04.2026, Tuesday at 10.00 am in the Board Room of University of Vavuniya.
Bid Deposit
Bidders should deposit bids in the ‘Tender Box’ available in the Bursar’s Office of the University. Alternatively, they may send bids by Registered post or Courier, to reach the University on or before the deadline, at the address given in Clause 4.
Bid Opening
The University will reject late bids. Bid opening will take place at 2.00 pm on 28.04.2026, in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives who choose to attend at the board room of the University of Vavuniya.
