Dr. Anushanthini provided comprehensive information on common types of cancer, associated risk factors, early warning signs, and preventive strategies. The workshop emphasized the significance of early detection and timely medical consultation, alongside lifestyle measures such as balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, and stress management.

The workshop encouraged active participation, allowing staff to ask questions, share experiences, and clarify misconceptions regarding cancer and its prevention. Educational materials were distributed to reinforce key messages and support continued learning. A total of 22 staff members participated in the programme, including 15 academic staff and 7 non-academic staff, reflecting strong engagement from both teaching and administrative divisions of the university.

The Well-Being Centre plans to continue organizing similar health-related awareness programmes to further promote the physical and mental well-being of university staff. These initiatives are part of the Centre’s ongoing commitment to fostering a healthier, more informed, and proactive university community.
