The Chairman of the Departmental Procurement Committee, on behalf of the University of Vavuniya, invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders under Invitation for Bids 05/2026 for improvement and renovation works to the University’s buildings and infrastructure. The university will conduct bidding through the National Competitive Bidding Procedure (NCB).
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for contract award, bidders must not appear on any debarred and must be registered with the Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA) in the relevant grade for building construction. Additionally, bidders must register with the Registrar of Public Contracts, Sri Lanka, if the estimated cost exceeds Rs. 5.0 million.
How to Obtain Bidding Documents
Interested bidders may inspect the bidding documents at the Capital Works and Planning Unit, University of Vavuniya, Pambaimadu, from 19.08.2026 to 02.09.2026, between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Bidders may purchase a complete set of Procurement Documents by submitting a written application and paying the applicable non-refundable fee, via the payment portal on www.vau.ac.lk.

Bid Submission
Bidders must deliver or send bids (original and duplicate) by registered post to the Capital Works and Planning Unit on or before the closing date and time. The bid number must appear on the upper left corner of the envelope. Late bids will not be accepted.
