The Harmony Centre of the University of Vavuniya organised a series of workshops in 2022. These sessions built research skills and promoted reconciliation among academic staff. Each Harmony Centre Workshop covered a specific theme. Topics included harmony, reconciliation, and academic development. Ms. M. Prarthana Madhuwanthi served as the resource person for all sessions. She is a Member of the Education, Research and Training Committee, Harmony Centre. She also works as a Consultant for Research and Training, World University Friends, Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.
This session took place on 8th June 2022 at BH 4, Faculty of Business Studies. It ran at 3.00 pm Sri Lankan Time. The session focused on problem identification for a research proposal. Specifically, it covered harmony and reconciliation as the research theme. Moreover, it introduced probationary and temporary lecturers to harmony research concepts.

Workshop on “How to Create an Online Platform to the Harmony Centre Social Reconciliation Centres”
The Harmony Centre of the University of Vavuniya conducted a workshop on “How to Create an Online Platform for the Harmony Centre/Social Reconciliation Centres” for members of the Management Committee, Harmony Centre, and Social Reconciliation Centres & UGC Standing Committee on Social Reconciliation via the Zoom platform on Aug 31, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Ms. Prarthana Mathuwanthi – Member, Education, Research and Training Committee, Harmony Centre and Consultant, Research and Training, World University Friends, Peradeniya, Sri Lanka – was the resource person for this workshop. She has discussed the meaning of online platforms, tools and apps for the online platform, handling mechanisms, data updating and monitoring mechanisms for sharing the information and creating better networks with individuals, team members, stakeholders, institutions and other organisations.
