The Inter-University Invitational Women’s Elle Championship 2025 was successfully organised by the Physical Education Unit of the University of Vavuniya on 15th August 2025. This prestigious event took place at the University of Vavuniya grounds, attracting sports enthusiasts from across the region.

The tournament brought together three leading universities:
- Eastern University, Sri Lanka
- Rajarata University of Sri Lanka
- University of Vavuniya
After a series of highly competitive matches, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, emerged as the overall champions. They secured the prestigious trophy through skill and teamwork. Rajarata University of Sri Lanka claimed second place. Meanwhile, the University of Vavuniya showcased a commendable performance as the host. They displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the day.
Distinguished Guests and Empowerment
Senior Professor A. Atputharajah, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Vavuniya, graced the event as the Chief Guest. His participation enhanced the significance of the Inter-University Women’s Elle Championship. It also reflected the university’s commitment to promoting sports and women’s athletics.
