Therefore, this centre plays a vital role in creating a healthy and positive learning environment for everyone on campus. Furthermore, the Well-being Centre University of Vavuniya is committed to providing special care and guidance to those who need it most.

Why Was the Well-being Centre Established?

Students join the University of Vavuniya from various parts of Sri Lanka, often transitioning directly from school life. Consequently, many of them face significant challenges when adapting to a new environment. Moreover, the pressures of university studies, examinations, social life, and peer relationships can lead to stress and anxiety. Additionally, the prevailing economic crisis in the country and personal financial difficulties further affect the mental well-being of many students. Therefore, the Well-being Centre at the University of Vavuniya was established to address these needs and help students thrive academically and personally.

What Does the Well-being Centre Offer?

The Well-being Centre University of Vavuniya offers a range of supportive services for students and staff. First, trained professionals provide mental health counselling and guidance. Then, group wellness sessions and awareness programmes are conducted regularly. Moreover, the centre organises special events focused on mental health, mindfulness, and personal development. Additionally, students experiencing stress, depression, or social difficulties can seek confidential support through the centre at any time. Consequently, the centre ensures that every student feels welcome, valued, and mentally equipped to succeed.
