Additional Financial and Statutory Benefits

In addition to the basic salary, selected employees will receive standard monthly allowances according to University Grants Commission circulars. Specifically, you will receive a cost of living allowance of Rs. 17,800 monthly. Furthermore, the university provides a monthly compensatory allowance of 36 percent plus an additional Rs. 330. As a result of your permanent appointment, you will also receive membership in the University Pension Scheme and the Universities Provident Fund. General Eligibility and Educational Criteria

Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka who are between 18 and 45 years of age at the time of application. Moreover, candidates must be physically and mentally fit to perform their duties in any part of the country while maintaining excellent moral character.

For example, security applicants require five GCE Ordinary Level passes including Mathematics and Language in fewer than two sittings, plus five years of institutional security experience. Meanwhile, drivers require six GCE Ordinary Level passes with two credit passes, alongside a valid heavy vehicle driving license and three years of active driving experience. Lastly, laboratory, guest house, and cooking roles require six Ordinary Level passes with two credits, combined with either a relevant National Vocational Qualification level 2 or 3 certificate or one year of professional industry experience.
