What Are the University of Vavuniya Ordinances?
Ordinances set out the rules for running a university. They cover matters such as structure, administration and academic programs. In addition, they help staff and students understand their rights and duties. As a result, they support clear and fair decisions across the university.
Establishment Documents
The university has grown in stages. It began as the Northern Province Affiliated University College in 1991. Later, it became the Vavuniya Campus of the University of Jaffna in 1997. Finally, it became the University of Vavuniya in 2021. The documents below record each stage.
Faculty Documents
Each faculty also has its own documents. For example, the Faculty of Business Studies has a document on the Department of English Language and Teaching. The Faculty of Technological Studies has a document from 2020. We will add more documents as they become available.
