The Commencement of Work – 2025 of the University of Vavuniya was ceremonially held on 1st January 2025 with the participation of Professor A. Atputharajah, Vice-Chancellor, along with Deans of Faculties, Registrar Mr. N. Rajavisagan, the Bursar, and all university staff members.
The event began with the hoisting of the national flag and university flag by the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar. This was followed by the singing of the national anthem, symbolizing unity and national pride. The Public Servants’ Oath was then read by the Registrar, and all staff members pledged their commitment to integrity and service excellence.
The Commencement of Work – 2025 also emphasized teamwork, accountability, and dedication toward achieving the university’s strategic goals for the year.
