Tree Planting Ceremony – For a Greener and Cleaner Tomorrow

The Tree Planting Ceremony took place on 5th June 2023 at the University of Vavuniya in collaboration with Alliance Finance Company PLC. The organizers held this event to celebrate World Environmental Day and to promote environmental sustainability.

Moreover, Alliance Finance Company PLC donated hundreds of trees and planned to expand its initiative by donating up to 1000 trees under the theme “For a Greener and a Cleaner Tomorrow.” Through this initiative, the company actively supported environmental protection and climate awareness.

The University of Vavuniya collaborated with the company to organize the Tree Planting Ceremony. Students, academic staff, and company representatives participated in the event. Together, they planted trees within the university premises and contributed to improving the campus environment.

In addition, the Tree Planting Ceremony encouraged students to take responsibility for environmental protection. The program helped participants understand the importance of trees in reducing pollution and supporting biodiversity.

Alliance Finance Company PLC demonstrated its commitment to corporate social responsibility by leading this initiative. Similarly, the University of Vavuniya strengthened its role in promoting sustainability through academic and community engagement.
