On March 07, 2025, the University Business Linkage Cell successfully organized a Start-up Idea Generation workshop. Moreover, the Career Guidance Unit of the University of Vavuniya co-hosted the event. Furthermore, the workshop took place at SH4, Soosairatnam Building. Notably, it attracted 150 enthusiastic undergraduate participants.

Expert Session by Mr. Partheepan

Mr. Partheepan, General Partner at Tamil Venture, US, conducted the workshop. As an experienced entrepreneur and investor, he shared valuable insights into start-up fundamentals. Firstly, he covered the process of identifying market gaps. In addition, he explained innovative approaches to developing business concepts. Moreover, he emphasized the importance of creativity, problem-solving, and market validation. Therefore, students learned what drives successful start-ups.

Interactive Brainstorming and Personalized Feedback

During the interactive session, students actively engaged in brainstorming activities. Likewise, they joined group discussions and presented their innovative business ideas. Subsequently, Mr. Partheepan provided personalized feedback to each participant. Specifically, he offered guidance on refining concepts.
