The University Admissions 2023 seminar at Vavuniya took place on September 13, 2023. Specifically, the Career Guidance Unit of the University of Vavuniya organised the event. The seminar was held at the Soosairatnam Block, Faculty of Business Studies, and aimed to guide students preparing for university entry.
The event attracted strong participation from across the region. More than 250 students attended the seminar. Moreover, all participants were eligible for university admission based on their G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination results from 2022. As a result, the session directly supported students at a critical stage of their academic journey.
Five expert resource persons led the University Admissions 2023 seminar at Vavuniya. First, Professor (Mrs.) Ananthini Nanthakumaran shared her insights on the admissions process. Additionally, Dr. G. Jeyaseelan provided academic guidance to the students. Furthermore, Mr. V. Senthuran and Mr. S. Hariharan offered practical advice on course selection and applications. In addition, Ms. P. Rukshani contributed valuable information on eligibility and faculty options.
The seminar also received community support. Santhiya Construction Pvt Ltd kindly sponsored the refreshment expenses for the event. Therefore, their contribution helped ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for all attendees.
