The Orientation Programme Advanced Certificate in Women Empowerment in Politics was officially inaugurated on 11th June 2023 at the University Premises, Park Road, Vavuniya Town. The Harmony Centre of the University of Vavuniya organized the programme through the Centre for Distance and Continuous Education (CDCE), University of Vavuniya.
The orientation programme aimed to introduce participants to the objectives, structure, and learning opportunities of the Advanced Certificate Course in Women Empowerment in Politics. In addition, the programme highlighted the importance of women’s participation in leadership, governance, and political decision-making processes.
Mrs. S. Mathivathany, Director of the Harmony Centre, University of Vavuniya, led the inauguration ceremony. Furthermore, several distinguished guests attended the event and shared valuable insights related to women’s empowerment, leadership, and social development.

The Orientation Programme Advanced Certificate in Women Empowerment in Politics focused on encouraging women to develop leadership skills and participate actively in political and community activities.
