The New Year Celebration 2023 brought students and staff together at the University of Vavuniya on 29th April 2023. The Harmony Centre and the Students’ Union jointly organized the cultural programme to celebrate the Sinhala and Tamil New Year with excitement and unity.
Students, academic staff, and non-academic staff joined the event with great enthusiasm. The university premises filled with joy, music, entertainment, and traditional cultural activities throughout the day. The celebration created a friendly and energetic atmosphere for everyone.
The New Year Celebration 2023 included many traditional games and cultural performances. Students actively participated in competitions and recreational activities. Musical events and entertainment programmes added more excitement to the celebration. These activities encouraged teamwork, friendship, and student interaction.
