Mr. T. Vaitheeswaran, a Computer Science graduate of the University of Vavuniya, presented the initial version of his Low Vision Software on 30th March 2026. The meeting took place at the Eye Clinic, Teaching Hospital, Jaffna.
Dr. Malaravan, ophthalmologist of the Eye Clinic, and Dr. Nagulan attended the meeting. During the session, Mr. Vaitheeswaran demonstrated the software’s features, functionality, and overall performance. The participants then discussed these in detail.
The participants reviewed the current version of the Low Vision Software and offered constructive feedback. They recommended several improvements to enhance its accessibility, usability, and functionality. These changes aim to better address the needs of individuals with low vision. The development team will incorporate these suggestions into the next development phase. This will improve the software’s effectiveness and suitability for clinical use.
