The Kilithattu Tournament 2026 celebrates the upcoming Sinhala and Tamil New Year. The Physical Education Unit of the University of Vavuniya organized this regional tournament for school students. The event welcomes students from across the Vanni Region. Participating districts include Vavuniya, Kilinochchi, Mannar, and Mullaitivu. The university held a formal meeting on 23 February 2026. The meeting took place at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office. Representatives from the Vanni Hope Organization attended. The discussion focused on securing necessary sponsorship and support for the event.
