The University of Vavuniya proudly presents a video series featuring inspiring female graduates in STEM fields. Specifically, these videos form part of the Science and Technology Human Resources Development (STHRD) Project. The University of Vavuniya produced this series under the Ministry of Education, with funding from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as part of its Gender Action Plan (GAP).
Each video highlights the journey of female undergraduates enrolled in non-traditional areas within the STEM stream. Moreover, the series aims to increase the number of female students choosing technology and engineering programmes. As a result, these inspiring female graduates in STEM at Vavuniya serve as powerful role models for future students across Sri Lanka.
Furthermore, the videos encourage young women to pursue careers in non-traditional sectors. In addition, they showcase the real experiences and achievements of current undergraduate students. Therefore, each interview offers honest and motivating insight into life as a female STEM student.
