Inauguration Ceremony of the Higher Diploma in English – Batch – I

The Higher Diploma in English Vavuniya Batch I Inauguration Ceremony took place on 1st February 2023. The CDCE at the University of Vavuniya hosted the event. The venue was Park Road, Vavuniya.

This ceremony launched the Higher Diploma in English Vavuniya programme officially. The programme builds English language skills and proficiency. Students and working professionals in the region benefit from this diploma.

Prof. T. Mangaleswaran, Vice Chancellor, presided over the event. Mr. N. Rajavishahan, Registrar, attended the ceremony. Prof. Y. Nanthagopan, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, also joined. Mr. L. Ram Ramanan, Bursar, participated as well. Mr. S. A. Jude Leon, Director of the CDCE, graced the occasion.

Prof. Jeyaseelan Gnanaseelan attended as a distinguished guest. Mrs. Sarmatha Priyatharshan served as Academic Coordinator of the programme. Mrs. T. Piranavamalar represented the CDCE as Assistant Registrar.

The Higher Diploma in English Vavuniya improves communication skills. Students develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening abilities. They gain confidence to use English in academic and professional settings.
