The Career Guidance Unit of the University of Vavuniya successfully organized an inspiring seminar titled “Navigating the Academic Journey: Insights from Academic Career and Research at IIT Madras” on 29th October 2025 at TLH2, Faculty of Technological Studies.

Eng. R. Yesindan, Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Jaffna, conducted the session. He shared his academic and research experiences at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, India.

IIT Madras is one of Asia’s leading technological institutions. Through his presentation, he explained its academic environment, research culture, and global opportunities.

The seminar attracted around 180 participants, mainly from the ICT and IT degree programs of the University of Vavuniya.
