On 31st January 2025, the Career Guidance Unit of the University of Vavuniya successfully organized a Foreign Scholarship Opportunities workshop. Moreover, the event took place at the Smart Lecture Hall, Faculty of Applied Science. Furthermore, the workshop aimed to educate undergraduate students about international scholarship programs. Specifically, it covered application procedures and eligibility criteria.
Expert Session by Sky Learning Academy
The Director and team members of Sky Learning Academy conducted the session. Firstly, they provided valuable insights into scholarship opportunities across different countries. In addition, the resource persons elaborated on essential aspects of the process. These include application preparation, documentation requirements, and strategies to enhance scholarship eligibility. Moreover, they shared real-life success stories to inspire students.
Strong Student Participation and Engagement
Overall, 45 students participated in the workshop. Notably, they engaged in interactive discussions throughout the session. Likewise, they raised queries regarding specific scholarship programs. As a result, the session was highly informative. Consequently, it motivated students to explore international academic opportunities.
Future Plans of the Career Guidance Unit
Looking ahead, the Career Guidance Unit plans to organize similar workshops. Ultimately, these sessions will support students’ aspirations for global education. Therefore, the Unit remains committed to expanding such opportunities.
