Welcome to the FAS freshers orientation 2024! Congratulations on your achievement in securing admission for higher education. Most importantly, we extend a warm welcome to all freshers joining the Faculty of Applied Science (FAS) at the University of Vavuniya for the academic year 2022/2023.
About the Virtual Orientation Programme
The FAS freshers orientation 2024 starts with a virtual programme we have scheduled tentatively for 10 July 2024. Specifically, this online session connects you with academic staff and familiarizes you with the degree programmes and curriculum structure. Currently, we collect information from students the faculty selected for the Applied Sciences (Biological Science), Applied Sciences (Physical Science), and Information and Communication Technology degree programmes.
What Will Be Covered
In this session, we cover introductory course modules, an overview of the degree programme structure, and the academic curriculum for your first year. Furthermore, you get direct answers from academic staff about what to expect in your studies. In addition, physical lectures commence after enrolment, with the start date announced separately.
How to Register
To participate, students who received admission letters from the UGC for the above programmes must complete the Google Form linked below on or before 7 July 2024. Before you begin, please prepare your student ID and UGC admission letter details. Therefore, ensure you have these documents ready before opening the form.
Finally, the official physical welcome ceremony takes place at a later date. In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming you at the FAS freshers orientation 2024.
