The Department Procurement Committee of the University of Vavuniya invites sealed bids for the Desktop Computer UPS Procurement project. This covers the supply, delivery, and installation of Desktop Computers and UPS 1.2KVA units. Therefore, eligible bidders must submit their bids before 2:00 PM on 19th June 2025.

Desktop Computer UPS Procurement – Items Required
The university requires the following items under this Desktop Computer UPS Procurement:

Eligibility Requirements
Bidders must meet the following conditions to participate in this procurement:
- Bidders must have at least five years’ experience in the relevant field in Sri Lanka
- The bid must be supported by an unconditional Bid Security as per the format given in the bidding documents, in favour of the Vice Chancellor, University of Vavuniya, Sri Lanka
- Bids must be issued by a licensed commercial bank registered with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka or refundable cash deposit to the Shroff of the University of Vavuniya
- The Bid Security is valid for a minimum of 119 days (up to 16.10.2025) from the date of closing of bids
How to Obtain Bidding Documents
A complete set of bidding documents (approximately 41 pages) in English is available for purchase. In addition, interested bidders can download the documents from the university website at www.vau.ac.lk upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs. 3,500.00 by credit to any branch of Bank of Ceylon to the University of Vavuniya, Account No: 2364602. Documents are available from 05.06.2025 to 18.06.2025.
How to Submit Your Bid
First, complete the bidding documents in original with duplicate. Next, address your submission to:
Chairman, Department Procurement Committee, University of Vavuniya, Mannar Road, Pambaimadu, Vavuniya
Then, deposit your bid in the Tender Box at the Bursar’s Office or send by registered post before 2:00 PM on 19th June 2025. Please mark “Procurement of Desktop Computer & UPS 1.2KVA – UV/F/NCB/04/2025” on the top left corner of the envelope.
Late bids will be rejected. Consequently, the university will open bids at 2:30 PM on 19.06.2025 in the presence of bidders or their authorised representatives at the Board Room, University of Vavuniya.
