The University of Vavuniya invites sealed bids from experienced caterers to run canteen bids Vavuniya University operations for the one-year period 2025/2026. Four canteens across the university campus are available. Therefore, qualified and experienced caterers should submit their bids before the closing deadline.
All canteens must remain open from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily. Furthermore, successful caterers will supply a variety of quality, healthy foods and beverages at specified rates.
Canteen Bids Vavuniya University – Available Canteens
Four canteen locations are available under this canteen bids invitation:

Each canteen requires a non-refundable deposit of Rs. 2,000 at the time of application.
How to Obtain Bidding Documents
The Student and Welfare Division, University of Vavuniya, Pambaimadu, distributes bidding documents comprising the application, terms, and conditions. In addition, applicants can collect documents from 5th May 2025 to 16th May 2025 between 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM on working days. Moreover, applicants must pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 100 at the Shroff Counter, Finance Branch, University of Vavuniya.
How to Submit Your Bid
First, complete the bid document and enclose it in a sealed envelope. Next, mark the envelope clearly as “Bids for Canteen” on the top left-hand corner. Then, send it by registered post or deposit it in the Tender Box at the Student and Welfare Division to reach the university before 2:00 PM on 19th May 2025.

Pre-Bid Meeting
The university holds a pre-bid meeting on 16th May 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Office of the Deputy Registrar, Student and Welfare Division. Consequently, all bidders should attend this meeting to clarify any questions about the bidding process.
Bid Opening
The university opens bids on 19th May 2025 at 2:15 PM in the presence of bidders or their authorised representatives at the Student and Welfare Division.
