The Book Donation to University Library 2023 was held at the University of Vavuniya on 23 March 2023. Dr. M. Malaravan, Council Member of the University of Vavuniya, donated the book titled “Legacy of the Pioneers – 125 Years of Jaffna Tamils in Malaysia” to the University Library.
The donation included Volume I in CD format and Volume II as a hard copy. The university library received the books to support academic learning, historical understanding, and cultural awareness among students and staff members.
The book was co-authored by T. Selvaratnam and S. Apputhurai, who are well-known members of the Jaffna Tamil community in Malaysia. The publication highlights the history, achievements, and contributions of the Jaffna Tamil community in Malaysia over the past 125 years.
The Book Donation to University Library 2023 will help readers gain a better understanding of the social and cultural contributions made by the Jaffna Tamil community. The donation also strengthens the library collection by adding valuable historical and community-based resources for future reference.
