Invitation for Bids for Running the Canteen of the University of Vavuniya
Overview
This Invitation for Bids Canteen notice calls on experienced caterers to run the canteens of the University of Vavuniya for the one-year period 2026/2027. The successful caterers will keep these canteens open from 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. and supply a variety of quality, healthy foods and beverages in good condition at specified rates.

How to Obtain Bidding Documents for This Canteen Tender
Applicants can obtain bidding documents, including the application and terms and conditions, from the Student Welfare Division of the University of Vavuniya, Pampaimadu, Vavuniya, from 3rd July 2026 to 17th July 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on working days.
Applicants must pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2,000.00 through the official website (www.vau.ac.lk) and present the online payment receipt when collecting the bidding documents. Applicants applying for more than one canteen must make a separate payment of Rs. 2,000.00 and submit a separate application form for each.

Submission of Bids
Applicants must enclose the completed bidding document in a sealed envelope marked “Bids for Canteen 2026/2027” on the top left-hand corner and address it to the Deputy Registrar, Student and Welfare Division, University of Vavuniya, Pampaimadu, Vavuniya. Bids must reach this address by registered post before 2:30 p.m. on 24th July 2026, or applicants may deposit them in the Tender Box kept at the Student and Welfare Division.
Pre-Bid Meeting
The Deputy Registrar, Student & Welfare Division will hold a pre-bid meeting on 17th July 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in their office. All bidders should participate in the meeting for any clarifications.
Bid Opening
The Student and Welfare Division will open bids immediately after the closing of bids, in the presence of the bidders or their authorized representatives who wish to attend, at 2:30 p.m. on 24th July 2026.
Reservation of Rights
The University of Vavuniya reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers without assigning any reason whatsoever.
