The annual Table Tennis Ranking Tournament officially took place on 25th April 2026 at the Indoor Stadium, University of Vavuniya. As per the pre-arranged schedule, the tournament commenced promptly at 8:30 a.m. with an opening speech. During this introduction, the Team Captain carefully outlined the rules and regulations governing the day’s events.
Consequently, the matches began without delay and were conducted smoothly throughout the entire day. Specifically, the Novices Matches were held first from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Meanwhile, the Intermediate Matches followed right after, running from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Because of the excellent coordination, all matches were carried out according to the planned schedule and concluded on time without any delays.
Following the games, the official Awarding Ceremony commenced at 3:00 p.m. The distinguished guests for the event were Instructress Mrs. Thushyanthy and the Vice President of the Leo Club at the University of Vavuniya, Mr. Indusara Rusith.
To begin the ceremony, the guests distributed participation certificates to all the players. Following this, special merit certificates were awarded to the winners in recognition of their achievements. Furthermore, the event concluded with an inspiring address by the Chief Guest. Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by the Table Tennis Team Captain, marking the highly successful completion of the tournament.
