The Centre for Distance and Continuing Education (CDCE) of the University of Vavuniya successfully held its 4th Awarding Ceremony on 22nd March 2026 at 10:00 AM, at the Faculty of Technological Studies Lecture Hall, University of Vavuniya, Pampaimadu. The event marked the awarding of certificates to students from the following programmes:
- Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management – Batch III
- Advanced Certificate in Media Literacy and Journalism – Batch II
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education – Batch – I
- Higher Diploma in English – Batch – I
A total of 94 students were eligible to receive certificates.
The ceremony was graced by Distinguished Guests, including Senior Professor A. Atputharajah, Vice Chancellor of the University of Vavuniya; Mr. Senthooran, Dean of the Faculty of Technological Studies; Mr. S. A. Jude Leon, the Director of the Centre for Distance and Continuing Education; Mr. R. Jeyakumar, Registrar (Acting) of the University of Vavuniya;; Ms. Mathivathany, Academic Coordinator, ACMLJ; Mrs. Sarmatha Priyatharshan, Academic Coordinator, HDE Dr. S. Shanmugathasan, Academic Coordinator, DECE Mr. P. Sasitharan, Course Coordinator, CESBM, Ms. J. Vithushana, Assistant Registrar of the CDCE. The ceremony concluded on a high note, celebrating the dedication and achievements of all students. The event also reinforced the University of Vavuniya’s commitment to promoting lifelong learning and supporting excellence in education.
