The Career Guidance Unit of the University of Vavuniya successfully organized an inspiring workshop titled “Think. Build. Launch: A Step-by-Step Guide to Taking Your Idea to Market” on 5th August 2025 at SH4, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Vavuniya. The session was conducted by Dr. Sabesan Sithamparanathan, OBE, Founder and President of PervasID, UK, an internationally recognized innovator and entrepreneur.
The workshop attracted an impressive gathering of over 220 student participants from all three faculties of the University. This wide representation reflected the enthusiasm and commitment of undergraduates from diverse academic disciplines to explore entrepreneurship and learn how to convert innovative ideas into market-ready ventures.
Dr. Sabesan delivered an engaging session where he shared his personal entrepreneurial journey, highlighting both the challenges and milestones of building a globally successful technology enterprise. His presentation provided students with a practical framework for entrepreneurial success, focusing on idea validation, product development, and effective strategies for market entry. He emphasized that creativity, resilience, and disciplined execution are fundamental qualities for any aspiring entrepreneur.
The session was particularly impactful because it combined real-world experiences with actionable guidance. Students were encouraged to think critically about their own ideas, identify opportunities, and understand the process of developing concepts into sustainable businesses.
