The students at the University of Vavuniya showcased exceptional talent and sportsmanship
during the 2025 Open Table Tennis Championship, held on the 21st and 22nd of June 2025 at the
Indoor Complex. Throughout the two-day event, both male and female students actively
participated and delivered commendable performances. Mr. L. Ram Ramanan, Bursar of the
University of Vavuniya, served as the chief guest on the first day of the competition.
This achievement reflects the university’s growing strength in sports and the unwavering
dedication of its young athletes. Congratulations to all the winners and participants for their hard
work and success.
Two days after the event, Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Y. Nanthagoban, Bursar Mr. L. Ram
Ramanan, and Chairman of the Sports Advisory Board Mr. S. A. Jude Leon awarded prizes to
the winners.
