University of Vavuniya Open Chess Championship 2025 -“Battle of Minds”

The Physical Education Unit and the Chess Team organized an Open Chess Tournament for
current students, alumni, and staff of the University of Vavuniya on the 14th and 15th of June
2025 at the Library Building. The guest of honor was our university’s Acting Vice Chancellor,
Prof. Y. Nanthagopan. The tournament featured four different categories: Rated Category, Staff
Category, Men’s Category, and Women’s Category.
