The Inauguration Ceremony of the Certificate in Digital Skills and ICT Applications – Batch I was held on 24th January 2026 at 10.00 a.m. at the Auditorium of the Centre for Distance and Continuing Education (CDCE), Park Road Premises, University of Vavuniya. The event marked a significant milestone in the University’s ongoing commitment to enhancing digital competencies and ICT proficiency among learners.
The ceremony was honoured by the gracious presence of several distinguished guests, including Senior Professor A. Atputharajah, Vice Chancellor of the University of Vavuniya; Mr. V. Senthooran, Dean of the Faculty of Technological Studies; Dr. M. Kayanan, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science; and Mr. R. Sakuntharaj, Academic Coordinator. The occasion was further enriched by the participation of lecturers from the Faculty of Technological Studies, along with the Assistant Registrar of CDCE.
The inauguration reflected the University of Vavuniya’s dedication to expanding access to quality education and equipping participants with essential digital skills relevant to contemporary professional and academic environments.
