Southeastern University invited the University of Vavuniya for a friendly 50-over match at their
ground on 8th June 2025, where University of Vavuniya secured a thrilling 2-wicket victory.
Batting first, Southeastern posted 196 in 41.2 overs, with Yasintha top-scoring with a quick 65.
Vavuniya’s bowlers kept things tight, with Sahan and Pahan both taking three wickets.
In response, Vavuniya chased down 197 in 40.2 overs, thanks to Harshana’s fluent 51 and crucial
contributions from Ingaran and Riwaqi. South Eastern’s bowlers made it tough, but extras proved
costly, and Vavuniya held their nerve for a well-fought win.
