The workshop on introducing innovative ideas and commercialising the inventions among students was held on March 02, 2022, from 12.30 to 4.30 PM at the IT Centre, University of Vavuniya.  This workshop was jointly organised by the Sri Lanka Inventors Commission (SLIC) and the University Business Linkage Cell of the University of Vavuniya through the Young Inventors’ club of the University of Vavuniya. Around 100 students participated in the workshop physically, representing the Faculty of Applied Science, Faculty of Business Studies, and Faculty of Technological Studies. Also, some students were taking part in the workshop online. The resource people from SLIC discussed the topics of introduction to SLIC and SLIC’s duties. What are inventions and innovations? Comparisons of Inventions, National and international, pathways to the Inventors and Market Needs and How to Commercialise Inventions.
