The Centre for Distance and Continuing Education (CDCE) of the University of Vavuniya successfully held its 3rd Awarding Ceremony on 28th September 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Faculty of Technological Studies Lecture Hall, University of Vavuniya, Pampaimadu. The event marked the awarding of certificates to students from the following programs:
(a) Advanced Certificate in Sports Coaching and Physical Education – Batch II
(b) Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management – Batch II
Although a total of 39 students from the Advanced Certificate program and 26 students from the Certificate in Entrepreneurship program were eligible to receive certificates, only 30 students were honored for their academic achievements and accomplishments.
Distinguished guests, including Senior Professor A, graced the ceremony.

Ram Ramanan, Bursar of the University of Vavuniya; Ms. Mathivathany, Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Business Studies; Mr. Sivanenthira, Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Business Studies; Ms. J. Sivarubini, Assistant Bursar of the CDCE; and Ms. J. Vithushana, Assistant Registrar of the CDCE. This special occasion highlighted the university’s dedication to providing high-quality, accessible education and supporting the professional development of its students in the fields of sports coaching and physical education, entrepreneurship, and small business management.
