A competitive rugby tournament featuring club teams from the Northern Province was held on 1st June 2025 at the Irappperiyakulam Army Camp Grounds. The event brought together ten rugby clubs from across the province, all vying for top honors in this regional showdown.
In a thrilling display of sportsmanship and skill, the Vavuniya University Rugby Team emerged as the runner-up, securing second place in the Bowl category after a hard-fought match.
The tournament, branded as the NCP Sri Lions 7s 2025, showcased high-caliber rugby action throughout the day.

• Cup Runners-up: Sri Lions NCP
• Plate Champions: Gunners RFC, Anuradhapura
• Plate Runners-up: Sri Lions Academy, Anuradhapura
• Bowl Champions: Kekirawa RFC
• Bowl Runners-up: Vavuniya University RFC
A standout performance came from Lesli Subashana of Archers RFC, who was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament for his exceptional skill, agility, and leadership on the field.
