To commemorate Independence Day, and Faculty Elle tournament was held today, 4th February 2026, at the university grounds. The event was organized by the Vavuniya University Students’ Union in collaboration with the Physical Education Unit. A total of 9 teams participated in the competition. After a series of exciting matches, the 2nd-year team from the Faculty of Technological Studies emerged as the winners.
Extended Version The tournament was organized to mark Sri Lanka’s Independence Day and to bring students together through traditional sports. The university grounds were filled with energy as students from different faculties gathered to cheer on their teams.
