The Certificate Awarding Ceremony for the Entrepreneurial Skills and Language Development Program was successfully held on 18th January 2026 at the SMART Lecture Hall, Faculty of Applied Science. The event was organized by the University Business Linkage Cell of the University of Vavuniya in collaboration with American Corner, Jaffna, Sri Lanka. The ceremony aimed to recognize and reward participants who successfully completed the program and to encourage students to develop entrepreneurial and language competencies.
The ceremony commenced at 12.30 p.m. with the arrival of participants and guests. The ceremony was graced by as the chief gust Prof. Selva Selvanathan, Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics, Griffith University, Queensland, Australia and Prof. A Atputharajah Vice Chancellor University of Vavuniya, Mrs S.Mathivathany, Director of UBL and Mr.P.Sasitharan , Carrer guidance counselor participated in the event. The program began with a welcome address, followed by an overview of the Entrepreneurial Skills and Language Development Program. Resource persons and organizers highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship and language skills in today’s competitive environment.
Participants successfully completed the program were awarded certificates in recognition of their dedication and achievements. The certificate distribution session was conducted in a formal and orderly manner, creating a proud and motivating atmosphere for all participants. Several speeches were delivered emphasizing the value of continuous learning, innovation, and communication skills in building successful careers. The collaboration between the University Business Linkage Cell and American Corner, Jaffna, was also acknowledged for its contribution to the success of the program.
