The Centre for Distance and Continuing Education (CDCE) of the University of Vavuniya hosted its 2nd Awarding Ceremony on 18th January 2025 to recognize the achievements of the students of the Advanced Certificate in Sports Coaching and Physical Education Programme, Batch 1. The ceremony was held at 3:00 PM at the Faculty of Technological Studies, University of Vavuniya. Although 44 students were eligible to receive their certificates, 36 students attended the event to be honoured for their academic accomplishments. The ceremony was celebrated by distinguished guests including Prof. A. Atputharajah (Vice Chancellor of the University of Vavuniya), Mr N. Rajavisahan (Registrar of the University of Vavuniya), Mr. S. A. Jude Leon (Director of the CDCE), Dr. Ms. J. Nimalan (Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science), Dr. M. Kayanan (Academic Coordinator), Prof. Kanesh Rajah (Visiting Consultant, UK), and Ms. Y. Vithushana (Assistant Registrar of the CDCE). This special occasion highlighted the university’s dedication to providing high-quality, accessible education and supporting the professional development of its students in the fields of sports coaching and physical education.
