WIE Awareness Session

The IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group of University of Vavuniya organized an awareness session on 10th of May 2024, aimed at introducing and promoting the Women in Engineering (WIE) initiative to the university community. The session, held virtually on Google Meet platform from 7.30 PM to 8.30 PM, featured Ms. Michelle Perera, a distinguished former Student Activities Committee Chair for the WIE Sri Lanka Section, as the guest speaker. With over 30 participants, including both IEEE and non-IEEE student members, the event was accessible to a wide audience. The session proved to be an inspiring and informative experience, successfully raising awareness about WIE among the attendees.
